SCHOOL UNIFORM
New PE Kit
The PE uniform will be compulsory for all 1st, 2nd, 3rd, TY & 5th years in the 2024/2025 school year. The PE uniform is purchased in a bundle which includes a quarter zip top, or a crew neck top, jersey, tracksuit bottoms, shorts and socks. All items are purchased together at a discounted price and Playr-Fit will add items that can be purchased individually later in the school year. Students will change out of their PE uniform after PE class is over – they will not be wearing it for the full day.
The PE uniform is designed by Playr-Fit, who currently design the padded school jacket. Students can also try on the padded jacket & PE kit using samples in the school and choose the size that suits best. All students can choose to purchase a St Joseph’s school hat on the Playr-Fit website. The hat is optional and there are 3 different designs to choose from.

We have introduced a new style school jacket, with the design aided by our students. The school jacket is a MANDATORY part of the uniform that all students must have.
The new style jacket (pictured above) is a popular look and each student can have their own initials on it. The jacket is available to buy at the link above. There is a delivery time of 5 weeks.
We have each size of the jacket in the school office and students can try them on in order to choose the right size.
The jackets are delivered to parents’ home address. Popular features of the new jacket are;

Warm, padded, with fleece lined pockets and an inner pocket.

School Uniform
The St. Joseph’s Secondary school uniform consists of:
· A blue short or long-sleeved shirt/blouse (Junior Cycle: 1st, 2nd & 3rd year)
· A white short or long-sleeved shirt/blouse (Senior Cycle: TY, 5th and 6th year)
· Grey trousers or Grey and Navy check skirt (skirt is only available at School Uniform Shop Mell.)
· A grey v-neck jumper with the St. Joseph’s school crest
· The St. Joseph’s school tie
· A navy blazer with school crest (optional and only available at School Uniform Shop Mell.)
· A navy Playr-Fit padded school jacket with school crest (can be personalised with initials, only available through the link on the school website, please see below for purchasing details) (or store bought - older style jackets are permitted).
· Navy socks/navy tights
· All black or all brown shoes (runners/trainers are permitted but must be all black, no visible white or coloured logos are permitted, grey runners are not permitted)
